Routes that know where documents belong
A six-level route resolver maps every document to the right device - by user, report, site, or model - so a pick list, a purchase order, and an invoice each land on the correct printer automatically. The first time you print something new, the module asks once and remembers your answer.
Automation that never blocks your business
Ready-made automation rules print on business events - invoice posted, delivery validated, purchase order confirmed, lot or serial created. They ship disabled by default so nothing prints unexpectedly, a Test Fire button proves the wiring before go-live, and a print failure never rolls back your document - the job is simply held for retry.
A job queue you can trust
Every print job is a tracked record with a full lifecycle - pending, sent, printed, failed, held - a retry counter, and a one-click Retry when a printer comes back online. An automatic retry cron backs it up, so nothing silently disappears.

Point the module at your subnets and SNMP does the rest: every networked printer is discovered, identified, and kept under continuous watch. Make, model, serial, firmware, and location are captured automatically, and device status refreshes on a schedule you control - no agents to install, no spreadsheets to maintain.

Toner and consumable levels stream in live, with a burn rate per day and a projected empty date for every consumable - so you order on data, not guesswork. Reorder thresholds fire alerts before a cartridge runs dry, cost per page is tracked automatically, and the optional Purchase integration drafts the RFQ the moment a supply crosses its threshold.
An alert engine built for real teams
Alerts escalate: if the first responder does not acknowledge, the next tier is notified. Delivery is your choice per rule - email, SMS, or webhook into the tools you already run. Quiet hours and per-site routing keep the noise down and the signal high.
The kiosk on the wall
A dedicated full-screen, dark-theme status board designed for a wall-mounted TV in your IT room or help desk. It lives at a token-protected URL - no login needed on the display - and refreshes itself every 30 seconds. Green means healthy; anything else tells you which device, which problem, and for how long.

Your network stays your network
Printer Fleet Manager runs entirely inside your Odoo environment. Printer inventory, SNMP data, toner levels, service history, and network information remain on your server - ModuleSmith does not collect or host your fleet data. The only outbound communication is the license check, which transmits the license key, your Odoo database identifier, the module version, and a security nonce. No business, printer, network, or customer data is ever transmitted.

- No inbound ports required
- Printers need SNMP v1/v2c enabled with a known read community string (default 'public'); SNMPv3 is not supported
- Printers on other VLANs or subnets: the Odoo host needs a route to them, and firewalls in between must allow UDP 161 plus the TCP probe port
- Docker: the container needs UDP 161 out to printer VLANs (--network host is the simple fix if bridge routing blocks it)

The module is sold under the OPL-1 license: $499 one-time, which includes 12 months of ModuleSmith Maintenance & Support. After that, an optional $149/year renewal continues your Maintenance & Support. Renewal is optional - your purchased module continues to operate if Maintenance & Support expires.
Yes. Offline activation is supported for servers without internet access - contact support and we will walk you through it.
Nothing at all until you choose to activate. After activation, the check sends only your license key, your database UUID, the module version, and a random security value. No printer data, no documents, no usage statistics - nothing else leaves your server.
