These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the modulesmith.com website, including its documentation, screenshots, and videos (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you purchase a module, that purchase is governed by the separate Terms of Sale, which control where they differ from these terms.

1. Who we are

ModuleSmith builds commercial modules for the Odoo platform. Contact: [email protected] (general) or [email protected] (sales).

2. Use of the Site

You may browse the Site and use its documentation and other materials to evaluate, purchase, install, and operate ModuleSmith products, and for your own internal business purposes. You may print or save copies of the documentation for those purposes.

You may not:

• copy, republish, or redistribute Site content (including documentation, screenshots, and videos) outside your organization without our written permission;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Site other than by well-behaved search engine indexing;
• probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our license service, or related infrastructure;
• use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.

3. Content and intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, page designs, logos, graphics, screenshots, and videos, are owned by ModuleSmith and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Product source code is licensed separately under the Odoo Proprietary License v1.0 as described in the Terms of Sale; nothing in these Terms of Use grants any license to our software.

4. Trademarks

ModuleSmith and Printer Fleet Manager are trade names of ModuleSmith. Odoo is a trademark of Odoo S.A. ModuleSmith is an independent vendor and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Odoo S.A. Other names mentioned on the Site are the property of their respective owners.

5. Documentation is provided as-is

Documentation, guides, and other free content on the Site are provided for convenience, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep them accurate and current, but they may contain errors or describe a different module version than the one you run. For purchased modules, the warranty stated in the Terms of Sale applies to the software itself.

6. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites (for example, the Odoo Apps Store). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what information the Site collects and how we use it.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModuleSmith disclaims all warranties regarding the Site and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). This section does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law, and it does not apply to purchased products, which are covered by the Terms of Sale.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes not resolved informally.
